Bryan Teves

Bryan Teves is a contemporary Filipino artist hailing from Sta. Lucia, a small town just outside Candon, Ilocos Sur ,a northern province located in Luzon Island, Philippines. The middle child of a brood of seven, he was able to enroll at the fine arts program of the the University of the Philippines Baguio, the region’s cultural capital. But due to monetary constraints, he was forced to drop out in his second year.

 He would make ends meet, joining various art competitions and with his talent and detemination, he was able to win various art competitions that include the 2012 grand prize of the Sining PSE (Philippine Stock Exchange) and the 2015 grand prize of the Metrobank Art and Design Excellence (MADE), one of the prestigious art awards in the Philippines.

 Aside from numerous group exhibits, he already mounted 2 successful solo shows in Manila organized by DF Art Agency . The last one was the show entitled ‘Connected’ whose objective is to raise awareness on the importance of reconnecting with nature and instigate consciousness on how we can save it for future generation.
